Aadya’s POV

I was standing on the balcony connected to Rian’s room, looking down at the beautifully decorated city, covered in fairy lights and decorative items. I could also see Times Square from here, which was crowded and bustling with so many people enjoying themselves. Everything looked so small yet so beautiful from up above. With the end of this year, my past and trauma also ended. Even though it will take some time for me to heal properly, a big part of me is healed and happy. This new year will be a rebirth for me. A whole new start of a whole new life. 

I took a sip of my coffee and pushed some strands of hair behind my ear. I was so indulged in looking at the magnificent sight unfolding below me that a gasp escaped my mouth when a pair of arms wrapped around my waist, taking me by surprise. I turned my head a little to my side and saw the beautiful pair of baby blue eyes, the same eyes which have become my home, my comfort and my safe place in the past few days. I smiled at him and he passed me one of his brightest smiles, showing off his beautifully carved dimples. Rian brought his lips closer to mine and placed a quick peck on them, making me close my eyes. Before I could respond, he pulled back.
