Reva drives me home after making sure I am feeling better and I force her to go back to her place when she insists on staying the night just to check up on me. I am grateful to have such caring people around myself but I am not going to trouble her and make her stay away from her kids and husband so often. She already visits me frequently, sometimes with them, most times without them. 

Sighing, I walk inside the mansion and Mrs Stiles, the housekeeper, greets me with a smile and I return it with a small one of my own.

“Should I heat the food for you, sir?” She asks and I nod before asking her to send the food to my room. 

Heading straight upstairs, I close the door behind myself and take off my coat and wristwatch. I uncuff my sleeves and keep the cufflinks on a table beside my wristwatch before loosening my tie and getting rid of it. Today has been super exhausting and I still have a lot to process.

The headache is still there and I know it won’t go away until and unless I take a nap or sleep the night. So, without risking my health and doing the opposite, I get in the bathroom and quickly take a cold shower to calm my nerves and relax under it. Once I am done, I step out and change into a comfortable pair of sweats and a t-shirt.
