A M E L I A

Letting out a soft groan and stretching my limbs, one bone at a time, I slowly stir awake. A soft smile prominent on my lips for some reason as I rise up and stretch my body, tilting my neck and relaxing my shoulders. 

The memories from the previous night start flashing in front of my eyes one after the other and the smile only shines brighter. Last night I finally got the answers to most of my unasked questions. The picture that I received of the girl and Ekaksh wasn’t sent by him, in fact, his asshole friend sent it to me. According to that guy, he wanted me to stay the fuck away from Ekaksh- his words, not mine. 

He hates me. It’s visible in the way he acts with me and how he made it crystal clear last night with his words. 

“If you think I regret sending you those pictures, or that if I could go back in time and undo what I did, let me make something very clear, I will do it all over again if I have to. This time, maybe I’ll stoop lower, do something worse to keep you away from him. Because you don’t deserve him. You deserve an asshole who wouldn’t even blink twice in your direction and you’d keep begging for his attention but alas, you won’t get it.”

His words echo in my ears and my throat constricts. Suddenly guilt surges back in my veins but I push it back, as much as I can. He was going to continue and throw more insults at me but Ekaksh stopped him, grabbed him by his collar and threw a few more punches at him.
